What You’ll Be Doing

As a Veterinary Assistant / Surgical Assistant, you’ll play an active role in both outpatient care and surgical support.

You’ll help with:

  • Assisting veterinarians with appointments and patient exams
  • Preparing patients for surgery and monitoring recovery
  • Supporting surgical procedures as a scrub or circulating assistant
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized treatment area
  • Safely restraining and handling patients with compassion
  • Cleaning, sterilizing, and organizing surgical instruments
  • Supporting hospitalized patients and ensuring comfort and care
  • Updating medical records in a paperless system
  • Communicating with clients to support patient care and education

  • Have 6–12 months of veterinary assistant experience preferred
